Ingredients to make Veg Rice Balls :
- 1 cup cooked Rice
- 1 Medium boiled Potato
- 1/2 small Carrot, grated
- 1 Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
- 1 Green Chilli, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh Coriander leaves
- 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam Masala powder
- 3 tbsp Besan
- For coating:
- 1/2 cup Flour/maida
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 tsp black Pepper powder
- breadcrumbs, as needed
- Oil for frying
How to make Veg Rice Balls :
Mix the rice, potato, carrot, besan and all the masalas in a bowl.
Mix nicely, check for seasoning and adjust at this stage.
Make 10-12 round balls from the batter and keep aside.
Make a slurry using maida and water. Add salt and black pepper to it.
Dip a ball into the slurry and coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat till all the balls are evenly coated.
Heat oil in a deep kadhai and fry the prepared balls on medium heat until golden and crisp.
Place the fried balls on absorbent paper.
Serve with ketchup or a dip of your choice.
