How to make Veg Rice Balls

    Ingredients to make Veg Rice Balls :

  • 1 cup cooked Rice
  • 1 Medium boiled Potato
  • 1/2 small Carrot, grated
  • 1 Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam Masala powder
  • 3 tbsp Besan
  • For coating:
  • 1/2 cup Flour/maida
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp black Pepper powder
  • breadcrumbs, as needed
  • Oil for frying

    How to make Veg Rice Balls :

  • Mix the rice, potato, carrot, besan and all the masalas in a bowl.
  • Mix nicely, check for seasoning and adjust at this stage.
  • Make 10-12 round balls from the batter and keep aside.
  • Make a slurry using maida and water. Add salt and black pepper to it.
  • Dip a ball into the slurry and coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat till all the balls are evenly coated.
  • Heat oil in a deep kadhai and fry the prepared balls on medium heat until golden and crisp.
  • Place the fried balls on absorbent paper.
  • Serve with ketchup or a dip of your choice.
