Ingredients to make Spiced Lime Pickle (without Oil) :
- 24 Limes
- 1/2 kg Green Chillies
- 1/2 kg Ginger
- 3 tbsp Salt heaped
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- A big dry bowl
- A clean and dry glass bottle
How to make Spiced Lime Pickle (without Oil) :
Thoroughly wash and clean the limes before placing them to dry.
Wash the ginger pieces and leave them to dry as well.
Cut the limes in 8 pieces each and place them in a large dry bowl.
Peel and cut the ginger in small pieces and add them in the bowl along with the limes.
Now cut the green chillies in small pieces and add them in the bowl as well.
Mix 2 tablespoon of salt and turmeric in the bowl and blend all the ingredients together.
Sprinkle salt into the jar, and carefully place this blended mixture into it.
Place this jar in the sun with a clean muslin cloth tied on top.
Make sure to repeat this process for 6-7 days.
Make sure to stir the limes by shaking the jar on a daily basis.
