How to make Shakshuka

  • Serves: 2 People

    Ingredients to make Shakshuka :

  • Eggs
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper
  • Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Pepper
  • Cilantro to garnish
  • Salt to taste

    How to make Shakshuka :

  • Heat oil in a large skillet, add onions and saute until they become soft and translucent.
  • Add the bell peppers and garlic and cook until softened.
  • Add the tomato puree, paprika and salt, cook for 2 mins.
  • Crack the eggs into the mixture, cover and let this cook for 5 mins.
  • Season with pepper and a pinch of salt, cook for another 3-5 mins.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with cilantro and serve hot
