How to make Pista barfi

    Ingredients to make Pista barfi :

  • Pistachios/pista – 1.5 cups
  • Sugar – 3/4 cup
  • Water – 3/4 cup
  • Ghee-1 tsp
  • Full fat Milk powder – 3 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Silver foil as needed

    How to make Pista barfi :

  • Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, add the pista and roast. Keep aside to cool.
  • Grind these pistachios in a mixer to make a powder.
  • Put this powder into a bowl and add cardamom powder, milk powder &,mix well.
  • Pour water & sugar in a pan, cook to form a sugar syrup of 1.5 thread consistency.
  • Add the ground pistachio powder mixture and mix thoroughly. Let it cool.
  • Knead with your palm to make it a smooth dough.
  • Grease a rolling pin and roll the dough into 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Stick the silver foil delicately over the flattened dough.
  • Dice into small cubes. Enjoy!
