Ingredients to make Pasta with tomato sauce :
- 110 gms pasta (spaghetti)
- A pinch of Salt
- 3 cups of Water
- Tomato sauce Ingredients:
- 5 Tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 Bay Leaf
- Salt to taste
- Other ingredients:
- 1/2 an Onion finely chopped
- 3-4 Garlic cloves finely grated
- 4-5 basil leaves finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- Salt according to taste
How to make Pasta with tomato sauce :
To prepare the tomato sauce, take a pan and initially put in the chopped tomatoes.
Next put in the chopped onion, garlic and bay leaf to it. Give it a good stir.
Then pour in the water and season it with sugar and salt according to taste.
Cover with a lid and let the tomato sauce cook for 7-8 minutes.
After this time, let this mixture cool then grind to a puree form using a hand mixer.
Take a separate pan and heat oil in it. Once the oil is hot add in the chopped onions and grated garlic. Saute and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Pour in the tomato puree and let it cook for 5-6 minutes till it reduces.
Add in the finely chopped basil leaves. Stir well and keep aside.
In the meantime, boil water in a pot along with salt. Once the water starts to form bubbles, put in the spaghetti and cook for 7-8 minutes. Once cooked, drain and keep aside.
Move the pasta into a large bowl, pour in the tomato sauce and combine it well together.
Serve hot to enjoy it at its best.
