Ingredients for Oats Burfi :
- 50 gm oats powder
- 35 gm sugar
- 15 gm grated,mashed khoya
- 5 gm ghee
- 15 gm powdered almonds
- 1 powdered green cardamom
How to Make Oats Burfi :
- Start by boiling the sugar over medium flame in a vessel half filled with water in order to make a syrup. Then, heat ghee in a pan over medium flame and roast Quaker Oats powder on it. Add khoya in the same pan and cook for a few minutes on low flame stirring continuously. Check for the sugar syrup now and add it to the pan.
- Stir the mixture continuously till it starts to leave the sides of the pan. Turn the flame to low and crush the green cardamoms in a mortar and pestle in order to have a coarse powder formed. Once done turn off the gas knob and add this cardamom powder to the pan. Mix well.
- Grease a large thali using a little oil and spread the mixture in the pan over it. Allow it to cool and then cut into square shaped slices. Press almonds over these barfi slices and serve warm.
