How to make Mumbai Tawa Pulao

    Ingredients to make Mumbai Tawa Pulao :

  • For Rice
  • 1 cup basmati Rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oil
  • 4 cup Water
  • For Masala
  • 2 teaspoon pav bhaji Masala
  • 1/4 cup Peas
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chilli paste
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Capsicum finely chopped
  • 1/2 Onion finely chopped
  • Tomato chopped
  • 1 boiled potato cubed
  • 3 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp Water

    How to make Mumbai Tawa Pulao :

  • wash and cook the rice over medium heat without lid add oil salt and turmeric powder cook until almost done
  • drain excess water and allow the rice to come to room temperature
  • in a large Pan melt butter and add onions stir fry until onions are translucent
  • add ginger garlic paste and stir fry until raw Aroma goes away
  • are tomatoes and cook until tender
  • add green peas and mix well
  • using potato masher mash the vegetables well
  • add lightly mashed potatoes and mix well
  • Add capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.capsicum should retain the crunchy taste
  • Add red chilli paste, salt, water and pav bhaji masala. Cook for 4-5 minutes
  • Add lemon juice and mix
  • Add cooked rice and gently mix without breaking grains
  • Garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with rait
