Ingredients to make Maharastrian appe :
- Left over Idli batter 4-5 cups
- 1 finely chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 6-7 Curry Leaves
- 2-3 Green Chillies
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
- Salt as per taste
How to make Maharastrian appe :

Take the idli batter in a deep vessel.

In the tadka pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil and add onion, chilli, cumin seeds and mustard seeds then add this tadka directly in the idli batter. Mix it well.

Now heat the appe pan and put some oil in it, then drop the idli batter with a spoon in it.

Cover the pan for 5-7 minutes on a medium flame.

The spongy appe is ready to be served with coconut chutney or ketchup.
