Ingredients for Kara Sev :

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 3 teaspoon ghee
  • salt as required
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • refined oil as required

How to Make Kara Sev :

  1. To begin with this recipe, we will first prepare the dough. Take a bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, asafoetida, salt and cumin seeds to it. Mix it well with water to form a soft dough.
  2. Next, take a deep frying pan and start heating the oil in it. Keep it over low flame.
  3. Now, take a portion of the dough and carefully rub it over the holes of the ladle. Let the strings of dough drop onto the frying pan.
  4. Deep fry these strings until they turn golden brown in color. Once the desired color is obtained, serve warm with love.
