How to make Indori Poha

    Ingredients to make Indori Poha :

  • Poha (beaten Rice flakes)- 1 cup
  • Curry Leaves– 10 nos
  • Onion– 1 small sized, chopped
  • Green chilies- 3, chopped
  • Curry Leaves– 10 nos
  • Oil– 1 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds– 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Peanuts– 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida– 1/4 tsp

    How to make Indori Poha :

  • Wash the poha for 2-3 times, then drain all the water and leave aside.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, add the mustard seeds and let them splutter, then add the cumin seeds and ground nuts. Fry till they turn light golden in colour.
  • Then add the chopped onion and green chilies, curry leaves and fry till the onion becomes soft.Next, add the asafoetida and stir for 1 second.
  • Now add the turmeric powder and poha, lemon juice and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Add salt to taste, mix well and remove from the heat.
  • Sprinkle sev mixture on top and serve it hot with jalebi, cutlet and chai.
