How to make Boondi Ladoo

    Ingredients to make Boondi Ladoo :

  • 1/2 kg flour
  • 750 gms ghee
  • 750 gms sugar
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 8-10 drops of Orange colour
  • 8-10 Saffron strands soaked with some water
  • 8 cardamom peeled
  • 50 gms cashew nuts
  • 50 gms raisins

    How to make Boondi Ladoo :

  • Mix flour, milk and water in a bowl to make a thin batter.
  • Heat ghee in a pan. Take a large metal strainer over the pan and pour the batter in a steady stream.
  • Tap the strainer over the hot ghee so that little drops of fall down.
  • Fry till they turn golden color. Drain and remove
  • Boil water and sugar in a saucepan and stir until it becomes a one thread syrup.
  • Add saffron water and the orange color to the syrup.
  • Mix the ‘boondis’, syrup, dry fruits and cardamom.
  • Cover and keep till the entire syrup is absorbed. Make ladoos of the boondi mixture while the mixture is still warm.
  • Shape the ‘laddoos’ and and let them cool.
