Ingredients to make Beetroot dhokla :
- 1 cup besan ( bengal Gram Flour )
- 1 cup sour Curd
- 1/2 beetroot grated
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Juice of half Lemon
- 1 tsp fruit Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp green Chilli paste
- Salt as per taste
- Water as required
- FOR TEMPERING – 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 Green Chilli cut in halves
- Some Curry Leaves
How to make Beetroot dhokla :

Combine the yellow gram flour and curd , add water for dhokla consistency .

Add grated beetroot , ginger green chilli paste , Salt , oil and lemon juice and mix well .

Meanwhile grease idli moulds and put water on steamer for boiling .

Now add eno salt into the dhokla batter and immediately pour the batter into the idli moulds .

Steam it for about 15 – 20 minutes or till dhokla are cooked . When dhoklas are cooked keep aside .

Now take a pan add oil , add mustard seeds , when seeds start crackle add green chilli and curry leaves . After 2 minutes turn off the gas .

Pour this tempering over the prepared dhoklas . Serve with chutney of your choice .
