How to make Bakerkhani / Bakar Khani (Pakistani Style)

    Ingredients to make Bakerkhani / Bakar Khani (Pakistani Style) :

  • 250 grams All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tspn Salt
  • 50 grams Sugar
  • Egg for Egg wash preparation
  • 50 grams ghee or Butter (ghee is better though) vegetable ghee ie dalda or pure as per choice)
  • 1 tspn baking powder optional

    How to make Bakerkhani / Bakar Khani (Pakistani Style) :

  • Sieve together salt , All purpose flour and baking powder
  • Add milk slowly and mix flour to form a dough,adding some ghee                                                                                              
  • Rest the flour covered for at least an hour
  • Now make balls and spread with rolling Pin, oblong or square , apply ghee and dust some flour all over
  • Start rolling in into thin long rolls and form these       
  • Now form jalebi of the roll and press                
  • Press and now start pressing all sides to seal the centre layers to not break
  • Beat one egg for egg wash and take some sugar in a bowl
  • Now apply egg wash on each and sprinkle sugar all over  
  • Preheat oven for 15 minutes at 180° Cand place these on greased baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes     
  • Use center rack with both the rods on to get crust both on top and bottom
  • Enjoy for break fast.
