Ingredients to make Aflatoon barfi :
- 250 gms fine Semolina
- 250 gms Sugar
- 250 gms desi Ghee
- 3 tbsp brown Sugar
- 250 gms milk powder
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- 500 ml milk
- 250 gms khoya
- 3 tbsp thin slices of almonds and Pistachios some for garnishing
- 2 tbsp finely chopped Cashews
How to make Aflatoon barfi :
Take desi ghee in a heated pan, add rawa to it and roast it till it turns nice golden in colour on a low heat…
Now add the brown sugar and let it melt completely….
Add sugar and milk powder and mix well.. See to it there are no lumps of the milk powder…
Add the milk and cook till the mixture gets thick.
Add the mawa and mix well… Cook till the ghee starts to separate…. Keep stirring continously so that the mixture does not stick to the pan… There should be no lumps of mava….
Add the slices of almonds and pistachios, chopped cashew and cardamom powder mix well…
After the ghee starts to separate …. Transfer the Mixture in a rectangular container… Tap it to smoothen the surface… Garnish with slices of almonds and pistachios…
Let it cool down for 5-6 hrs then cut into rectangle shapes…
Aflatoon barfi is ready… Enjoy the sweet with your family and friends
