Ingredients to cook Varan Bhaat :
- toor Dal – 3/4 cup
- Salt as required
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Hing – a pinch
- Ghee/ Butter – 1 tsp
- Jeera – 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves – few to temper
How to cookVaran Bhaat :
Wash the dal twice, and pressure cook the dal by adding the enough water, turmeric powder and hing.
Once cooked, mash the dal and add the required amount of water.
Now temper the dal with these ingredients – ghee, jeera and curry leaves.
Serve it with plain rice or phulka. Simple yet comforting food
