How to cook Varan Bhaat

    Ingredients to cook Varan Bhaat :

  • toor Dal – 3/4 cup
  • Salt as required
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Hing – a pinch
  • Ghee/ Butter – 1 tsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves – few to temper

    How to cookVaran Bhaat :

  • Wash the dal twice, and pressure cook the dal by adding the enough water, turmeric powder and hing.
  • Once cooked, mash the dal and add the required amount of water.
  • Now temper the dal with these ingredients – ghee, jeera and curry leaves.
  • Serve it with plain rice or phulka. Simple yet comforting food
