Ingredients for Sweet Pumpkin Pakoda :

  • 800 gm thinly sliced onion
  • 300 gm gram flour (besan)
  • 100 gm curry leaves
  • 30 gm carom seeds
  • 50 gm cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 5 gm baking soda
  • 1 bunch green onion
  • salt as required
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 800 gm scraped pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cup refined oil

How to Cook Sweet Pumpkin Pakoda :

  1. Take a bowl and add the scraped pumpkin along with thinly sliced onions, baking soda, rice flour, gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, spring onions, turmeric, and water. Mix well all the ingredients to make a mixture and set aside.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan over high flame. Once the oil is hot enough, take a little mixture in your hand and add it to the oil, fry them till they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Serve these hot with some tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
