Ingredients to cook Spongy Instant Dhokla with green chutney :
- Gram Flour /Besan 1 cup
- Sooji 1 tbsp
- 1/4 cup Curd
- Ginger-chilli paste 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Fruit Salt
- 1 tsp Lemon juice few drops
- Water to make the batter
- Ingredients Mustard Seeds ( black ) 1 tsp
- Salt and sugar to taste
- Oil 1/2 tsp
- Green Chillies 1-2
- Hing 1/4 tsp (optional)
- Water 1cup
- Fresh grated Coconut (garnishing)
- Oil as required
How to cook Spongy Instant Dhokla with green chutney :
Take a large pan or pot add water to steam the dhokla.
Grease a plate or any utensils that you are using for dhokla. I have used a loaf pan.
Meanwhile take a bowl, add the besan, sooji, curd, ginger and green chilli paste.
Add a little water and make a smooth paste.
Now add fruit salt and lime juice, then mix it properly. Pour this batter in a greased utensil.
Steam it for 10-12 mins or till its cooked. Put a knife as we do for cake to check.
If it comes clean then the dhokla is steamed properly.
Take a deep pan, add oil it heat, then add mustard seeds,hing, green chilli, water,salt and sugar. Give a boil.
Then let it cool down a bit and pour it on the steamed dhokla.
Cut in a desired shape and garnish it with fresh grated coconut.
Serve it with green chutney.
