How to Cook Sabudana Pulao

Ingredients for Sabudana Pulao :

  • 150 gm tapioca
  • 40 gm cashews
  • 2 medium potato
  • 20 gm raw peanuts
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 50 gm coriander leaves
  • 7 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • salt as required

How to Cook Sabudana Pulao :

  1. To prepare this recipe, start by taking a deep-bottomed pan over medium flame and pouring water in it. Add the potatoes and bring it to a boil. When the potatoes are soft (not mushy), peel the skin off and using a clean chopping board, chop them up along with the green chillies and coriander leaves and keep aside. Then, wash the sabudana (tapioca) under running water and soak it for 4-5 hours.
  2. Now, take a kadhai over medium flame and dry roast the raw peanuts. Then, heat oil in it and roast cashews in it. Next, pour the ghee in the same kadhai and heat it. When the ghee is hot enough, add the mustard seeds and let it splutter before adding the chopped green chillies.
  3. Add the chopped potatoes and cook until it starts to turn light brown. Then, add the sabudana along with lemon juice, black pepper powder, and salt to the pan and mix well. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the prepared Sabudana Pulav to a serving tray and garnish it with the roasted peanuts and cashews along with the chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy the delicious meal!
