Ingredients for Papaya Thoran :

  • 1 large papaya
  • 2 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
  • 2 teaspoon garlic
  • 2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 onion
  • 1 teaspoon powdered turmeric
  • 1 grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • salt as required

How to Cook Papaya Thoran :

  1. To prepare this easy recipe, cut the raw papaya into pieces and grate it using a grated. Then, mix it with the finely chopped onions and chillies and keep it aside for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Next, take a pan and put it over the medium flame, heat oil in it. Add the mustard seeds to the pan and wait for it to pop. Now, add papaya mixture to the pan and mix well. Keep stirring occasionally for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Now, take a grinder and grind the coconut pieces along with the onion and green chilli into a rough mixture. Add this mixture to the papaya and mix all the ingredients well. Turn off the flame and take it out in a bowl.
  4. Serve hot.
