Ingredients for Methi Malai Matar :

  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 bunch fenugreek leaves ( methi)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small ginger
  • 1 onion
  • handful cashews
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 bay leaf
  • 2 green chilli
  • 3 tablespoon fresh cream
  • salt as required
  • water as required
  • 50 gm butter
  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 200 gm paneer
  • 2 clove

How to Cook Methi Malai Matar :

  1. Start by cutting the paneer into small cubes and set aside. Make a paste of chopped onion, ginger, garlic, sliced green chilies, cumin seeds and cashew using little water in a blender jar.
  2. Heat butter in a pan over medium flame. Once the butter starts melting add cloves, bay leaves and saute for a minute. Now, add the ground paste prepared above and again saute for 5-6 minutes. Add fenugreek leaves to the pan along with milk and a little water into the pan and boil it for 5 minutes. Add paneer cubes, peas, salt in the pan and let it boil till it thickens. Lastly add fresh coriander leaves and cream. Mix well and serve hot.
