How to cook Kalakand

    Ingredients to cook Kalakand :

  • 400 g Condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly made Paneer/chenna
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Almonds chopped

    How to cook Kalakand :

  • Grease a plate or place aluminum foil on a plate
  • Wrap the paneer in a muslin cloth and hang to drain excess water.
  • Once drained, crumble the paneer and keep aside.
  • Pour the condensed milk in a pan and warm over low heat.
  • Add the milk, paneer and cardamom powder.
  • Mix well and cook over low heat. Stirring to avoid burning.
  • Once it becomes thick, remove from heat.
  • Transfer this onto the greased plate or foil. Spread it evenly into a half inch thickness.
  • Smooth the top and sprinkle chopped almonds. Press gently.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Cut into cubes and serve.
