Ingredients for Ghasghase Payasa :
- 1 cup poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon rice
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1 1/2 cup jaggery
- 2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon spice cardamom
- 1 teaspoon almonds
- 1 teaspoon cashews
- 1 teaspoon raisins
How to Cook Ghasghase Payasa :
- Heat a pan over medium flame and dry roast the poppy seeds with rice. When they turn golden in colour, take out on a plate and let them cool down.
- Now, put grated coconut, water, poppy seeds and rice in the grinder and grind well to make a thick batter.
- Heat a deep pan and add the batter to it with jaggery and milk. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium flame.
- Garnish with almonds, cashews and raisins.
