How to cook Chinese Bhel

    Ingredients to cook Chinese Bhel :

  • 1 (150gm) packet Noodles
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp chopped Garlic
  • 1 medium sliced Onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cabbage
  • 1/2 Cup sliced green Capsicum
  • 1/2 cup Julienned Carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind Chutney
  • 1 tbsp chopped Coriander
  • Oil for Deep frying

    How to cook Chinese Bhel :

  • Boil the noodles as per instructions on the packet, strain and run under cold water, add a tsp of oil, keep it aside in the strainer to dry.
  • Heat the oil for deep frying the noodles, sprinkle the cornflour on the noodles and mix, deep fry them on medium heat till crispy.
  • Make sure the noodles are dry before frying. Keep it aside.
  • In a pan heat 1 tbsp Oil, add the chopped garlic and sauté.
  • Add the sliced onion and saute on high heat for 20-30 secs.
  • Add the carrots and capsicum and sauté continuously maintaining the high flame for 30 secs more.
  • Now add the Cabbage,soy sauce,red chilli sauce,schezwan sauce and salt and saute for few seconds more.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Add the mix to the fried noodles in a bowl,add the tamarind chutney and toss everything together well.
  • Serve immediately garnished with Spring onion greens or Coriander.
