Ingredients to cook Chinese Bhel :
- 1 (150gm) packet Noodles
- 1 tbsp Cornflour
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp chopped Garlic
- 1 medium sliced Onion
- 1/2 cup shredded Cabbage
- 1/2 Cup sliced green Capsicum
- 1/2 cup Julienned Carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped Spring Onions
- 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Red Chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp Tamarind Chutney
- 1 tbsp chopped Coriander
- Oil for Deep frying
How to cook Chinese Bhel :
Boil the noodles as per instructions on the packet, strain and run under cold water, add a tsp of oil, keep it aside in the strainer to dry.
Heat the oil for deep frying the noodles, sprinkle the cornflour on the noodles and mix, deep fry them on medium heat till crispy.
Make sure the noodles are dry before frying. Keep it aside.
In a pan heat 1 tbsp Oil, add the chopped garlic and sauté.
Add the sliced onion and saute on high heat for 20-30 secs.
Add the carrots and capsicum and sauté continuously maintaining the high flame for 30 secs more.
Now add the Cabbage,soy sauce,red chilli sauce,schezwan sauce and salt and saute for few seconds more.
Switch off the flame.
Add the mix to the fried noodles in a bowl,add the tamarind chutney and toss everything together well.
Serve immediately garnished with Spring onion greens or Coriander.
