Ingredients for Chandrakanti Pitha :
- 500 gm moong dal
- 600 gm sugar
- salt as required
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- refined oil as required
How to Cook Chandrakanti Pitha :
- To prepare this recipe, rinse and soak moong dal and rice in water for about an hour. Now transfer them in a grinder and grind well to make a smooth paste.
- Boil water equivalent to the amount of paste used. Now add some sugar to it. After the blend starts boiling, add the premade paste to it and keep stirring it till the mixture becomes thick.
- Spread the ghee in a wide area flat container and pour the mixture on it. After it cools down, cut the batter into desirable pieces or you can even mould them into smaller balls if you wish to.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the cut shapes or balls until they turn golden brown. Once done, take out the excess oil with the help of tissue papers.
